Flash-Comp coordinator Aitor Garcia of LORTEK presented an introduction to the project at a prestigious workshop in Brussels in November last year.

The Zero-defects Manufacturing Workshop involved several ZDM projects involved in the 4ZDM Cluster, which organised the event alongside EFFRA, Made in Europe and Manufuture-EU.

The projects all had the opportunity to present their different approaches to the digital transformation of industry, which includes digital platforms, AI, data analytics and blockchain, as well as how they are approaching green transformation through zero waste and circularity.

The session also included interactions between the projects around the cluster activities related in particular to predictive maintenance and AI for manufacturing, followed by open discussion about further ZDM opportunities at the second part of Horizon Europe (HE – 2025-2027) and beyond HE.

“This was a very interesting opportunity not only to introduce Flash-Comp to very relevant industries but also to get to know other related projects and how they are approaching the same topics,” said Aitor.

“Flash-Comp will continue to be an active member of the 4ZDM cluster, as well as the FORESEE cluster, which was also at the workshop. This will help us build good relationships with our target audiences and be able to keep up to date with all the latest developments in this sector,” he added.
