We are delighted to announce the launch of our new FLASH-COMP animation, which explains how our project is using AI to transform quality control in composite manufacturing
Created by our dissemination and communication partners, Insight Media, the animation explains how the reduction of manufacturing waste is a key part of Europe’s planned transition towards climate neutrality.
As part of this effort, FLASH-COMP is developing a fast and reliable quality control solution capable of identifying defects during the composite production process and determining in-situ corrective actions that can be implemented. This will help the push towards a zero-defects composite manufacturing process, significantly reducing the generation of waste.
The zero-defect manufacturing approach being used in our project will help reduce waste by more than 30% and help Europe transition to climate neutrality.

Three years after launch, FLASH-COMP has reached a defining moment. The completion and validation of its Physical Test Bed for large composite liquid resin infusion processes confirms pre-industrial integration readiness and opens the door to full industrial demonstration – accelerating the project’s mission to enable the sustainable, zero-defect manufacturing of composite parts.
